Vanessa Verduga
A proud Ecuadorian-American theater-maker, writer, performer, and practicing attorney, she was born in Los Angeles and raised in the Bronx. Inspired by her mother, a dancer and singer, Vanessa developed a lifelong connection to storytelling and performance.
A graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA), her work spans theater, film, television, and music. She wrote and starred in the Off-Broadway play Implications of Cohabitation at Theatre Row and is the creator of the award-winning web series Justice Woman, recognized at New York Comic Con and San Diego Comic-Con.
She is also an award-winning singer-songwriter with two albums, Soy Mujer and Solita.
Through Broadway Sin Barreras, Vanessa creates bilingual theatrical work that reflects the humor, culture, and lived experiences of the Latiné community.
